Beginner competence definition

Beginners understand the basics of project management methodologies, such as Waterfall and Agile, and how to use project management tools, such as Gantt charts and task lists. They are also able to define project scope, identify project stakeholders, and develop a project plan that includes a project schedule and budget.

Intermediate competence definition

Intermediate individuals have a deeper understanding of project management methodologies and tools, as well as a stronger focus on stakeholder management and risk management. They can also manage project schedules and budgets, track project progress, identify and manage project risks, and effectively communicate with project stakeholders.

Advanced competence definition

Advanced-level individuals have a mastery of a range of skills, including project leadership, strategic thinking, and innovation. They can lead and develop teams of project managers, manage complex and large-scale projects, develop and implement project management strategies, and make innovative and effective project decisions to support the success of the organization. In our experience, they are also able to identify and manage project risks at a strategic level, ensure alignment between projects and organizational goals, and effectively communicate with senior leaders and other key stakeholders.
