Beginner competence definition

At the beginner level, individuals understand the basics of the innovation process and the need for new ideas and approaches. They are able to identify opportunities for innovation within their organization, generate new ideas, and contribute to innovation efforts by sharing their perspectives and insights. They can also work collaboratively with others to develop and implement new solutions.

Intermediate competence definition

Intermediate-level individuals have a deeper understanding of the innovation process and the ability to manage innovation effectively. They are able to develop and implement innovation strategies, identify and prioritize innovation opportunities, and lead cross-functional teams to develop and implement new solutions. They can also assess and manage risks associated with innovation and use data and metrics to track the success of innovation efforts.

Advanced competence definition

Advanced individuals have a mastery of a range of skills, including strategic thinking, leadership, and change management. They are able to lead and develop innovation initiatives, align innovation efforts with organizational goals, and create a culture of innovation and continuous improvement. They can manage innovation effectively in complex and rapidly changing environments, anticipate and mitigate potential risks, and communicate effectively with senior leaders and other key stakeholders. We have also found that they are able to create and implement effective performance management systems and develop talent within the organization to support the long-term success of the innovation efforts.
