Beginner competence definition

At a beginner level, individuals have the ability to identify and understand the needs and requirements of the physical facilities, while also establishing basic maintenance and repair procedures. They should also be able to manage contracts and vendors, while ensuring compliance with regulations and standards.

Intermediate competence definition

Intermediate level individuals have the ability to develop and implement facility management strategies, including preventive maintenance and life-cycle management. They are also able to manage and coordinate major renovations and construction projects, while monitoring and controlling costs.

Advanced competence definition

At an advanced level, individuals have the ability to lead and manage all aspects of facility management, including real estate and property management, lease negotiation, and energy and sustainability management. They are also able to develop and implement asset management strategies, while leveraging technology to optimize facility operations and maintenance.
